Roger Margulies
For over twenty years, I have created outstanding artwork for prominent corporations, organizations, and agencies within the San Francisco Bay Area and across the country. I enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and interface equally well with management, staff, teams, and outside entities.
There is no creative challenge that I can’t meet and fulfill. My PowerPoint, Keynote, and Prezi presentation skills are superb. I stay current with my mastering of Adobe Creative Suite while seeking out new techniques and tools as they become available. My excellent freehand sketching adds another dimension to my graphics skillset.
Currently, I am employed at the Collaborative, a national, award-winning design firm, where I oversee the creation of websites, eNewsletters, eStores, mobile apps, interactive events, advertising initiatives, multimedia presentations, print campaigns, and almost every other artistic competency.
My portfolio includes working as a badged contractor for notable corporations, including Facebook, Intel, Genentech, Roche, and others. While working as an on-site contractor at NASA, I developed online and print materials for the teachers, students, industry, and the general public to promote the Agency’s mission and vision.
When I was employed as a Marketing Communications (MarCom) Manager at Philips, I managed a creative team to successfully promote and launch dozens of innovative products and services, including TiVo, WebTV, and the first Digital Home Cinema. We produced attractive, consistent, and informative messaging and materials, both internally and externally, plus nationally and worldwide.
A few unique talents set me apart from the pack. I have headed logo and branding initiatives at several major corporations, including creating and implementing company-wide identity standards. I come from an architecture education, and I grew up in print shops, so I know full-color prepress and printing inside and out. I look forward to talking to you about your creative needs.
My personal logo harkens back to my architectural background and is designed around the "Golden Mean"—the desirable middle between two extremes, one of excess and the other of deficiency. It appeared in Greek thought at least as early as the Delphic Maxim of "nothing to excess."
I try to take the same balanced approach to my design. Explore all of the options and come up with a solution that satisfies as many of the goals and objectives as possible without sacrificing principles or vision.

Final Thoughts
One never knows where a life path will take them or what they will encounter along the way. I have been one of the fortunate travelers meeting people and visiting places beyond my imagination. I even have a plaque that now resides on a spacecraft sitting on the surface of the moon!
